There are two factors involved in selecting your target market:  the demographics and the psychographics.  Demographics are data elements that you can query a database for such as revenue range, geographic location, title(s), industries, and number of employees.  Psychographics are the reasons why your prospects would be interested in working with your company.  Cornerstone uses the 80/20 rule to help you define your target market and then create a list for you that contains your ideal prospects.

2. Message:

This is where 97.3% of companies fail.  Many “value propositions” are filled with features versus benefits.  A feature is when you talk about yourself whereas a benefit is when you discuss the value your deliver to your prospects. 3. Media:

Once you know who your target market is and the message you are going to deliver to them, it is time to choose the communication channel in which you will convert a stranger into a lead.
